Virtual reality (VR) is the tool to help students construct their own personalized learning. The experiences are realistic, immersive and allow students access to times, places and cultures that they could not otherwise visit. VR is the tool that has the potential to revolutionize how we help students explore the fundamentals of classroom content so that they can make far more effective connections to their new learning.

Our goal is to have students become curious about the world they live in and wonder about their learning. We want to enhance learning experiences and accessibility for ALL students along with extending their learning beyond the classroom. Students can experience the world around them in ways that are not otherwise available. We will consider our implementation successful if students discover their own purpose which drives their questioning and motivation to learn. We want to see high levels of engagement, joy, wonder and awe in their learning. We want our students to WANT to learn. We also hope that hard and abstract content will be accessible and students will be excited about challenging content.

Status: funded in May 2022, procured in Fall 2022. Fully in use for SY 2022-2023.
