Monthly Meeting Expectations
Our monthly meetings are routinely the second Tuesday of each month from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. We ask that all voting members plan to attend at least 10 of the 12 meetings in a year. We aim to have virtual attendance via Zoom as an option for most meetings.
Annual Timeline
Our work is cyclical which allows us to know when areas of the board are busier than others.
The timeline below should be helpful to know what a typical year looks like.
Jan—Apr
Annual Fundraiser,
Grant Voting
We are hard at work holding our annual fundraiser and evaluating grant applications. We select grant recipients by April.
May—Jun
Grant Presentation
We present the grants to the school board and to the recipients. We conduct a secondary fundraiser.
Jun—Aug
Strategic Planning and
New Year Kickoff
The executive board and greater board members engage in strategic planning for the upcoming school year.
Sept
Community Events
We are involved in community events, planning for grant season, and planning for our annual fundraiser.
Oct—Dec
Grant Program
Annual Fundraiser Prep
Our grant program accepts applications, we fundraise during Give to the Max and we plan for our fundraiser.
Skills in Demand
We try to be good stewards of donations so we’re always on the lookout for potential members with specific skill sets that would be especially helpful to us. We’re currently on the lookout for people with the following skills/experience:
Graphic design

Event planning
Marketing / Publicity

Community organizing
You don’t need these skills to join the board, but if you have them (or know someone who does) we’d sure love to hear about it!
